Matching Nutrient Demand with Soil Biology

Maximising return on investment with bio-organic fertiliser requires synchronising application timing with the crop's physiological growth stages. Unlike synthetic chemical NPK salts that leach rapidly during heavy monsoonal rain, bio-organic inputs compliant with Malaysian Standard MS 1517:2012 release nutrients gradually while enhancing soil Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC).

1. Oil Palm (Sawit) Application Schedule

NEXGROW bio-organic fertiliser is applied around the palm weeded circle (2.0 to 2.5m radius from the trunk). Rates from the NEXGROW oil palm product profile (Feb 2025):

2. Durian (Musang King / Black Thorn) Schedule

Durian orchards require continuous humic-rich organic matter to prevent root dieback and maintain leaf flushing prior to floral initiation:

3. Paddy Rice (Padi) Schedule

In flooded paddy fields, aerobic bio-organic inputs improve soil structure during land preparation (presowing) and accelerate tillering when broadcasted at Day 15 to 20 after transplanting/seeding. The NEXGROW product booklet sets the paddy rate by soil cation exchange capacity (CEC, cmol(+)/kg): 400 kg/ha above 20, 1 to 2 t/ha at 10 to 20, and 3 to 5 t/ha below 10.
