How Phosphate-Solubilising Bacteria Unlock Hidden Soil Nutrients

The Phosphorus Problem Hiding in Your Soil

Here's something many growers don't realise: a soil test can show adequate phosphorus while the crop still shows deficiency. In tropical, often acidic soils, phosphorus readily binds with iron and aluminium into forms plants cannot absorb. The nutrient is present — it is simply locked away.

How These Bacteria Work

Phosphate-solubilising bacteria secrete organic acids and enzymes that break those iron- and aluminium-phosphate bonds, converting bound phosphorus into soluble forms roots can take up. It is a biological key for a nutrient your soil may already hold in abundance.

The NEXGROW Difference

NEXGROW cultures these beneficial strains to a living concentration above 10⁷ CFU per gram, delivered inside an organic matrix rich in humic and fulvic acids that helps the bacteria establish in the root zone rather than wash away. The result is a steady, ongoing release of available phosphorus — not a one-time dose.

Why It Shows in the Crop

Because phosphorus drives early root development and flowering, better phosphorus availability supports stronger initial rooting and more even establishment, and helps the rest of the fertiliser programme work more efficiently. A trial block against an untreated control is the way to see the response on your own land.

Combining With Your Existing Programme

This is not a replacement for balanced nutrition. It is a way to get more out of the phosphorus already in your soil and in the fertiliser you already apply.
